Do' s & Don't s with Epinephrine

What is the wrong thing to do and the right thing to do with an epinephrine?

Do' s of Epinephrine:
  • Have at least 2 epinephrine's with you

  • Dispose it properly when used (Consult with pharmacist if you don't know how to dispose it properly)
  • Train the people you know so, they know what to do in the situation where you have to administrate your epinephrine
  • Normal temperature 68-77 degrees F
  • Refill by expiration date
  • When administrated seek medical attention (Call 911)
  • Have the epinephrine with you at all times

Don't s with Epinephrine:
  • Avoid heat and cold
  • Don't store it in a vehicle and the bathroom
  • Don't flush the medication
  • Don't pour it down the drain and toilet
  • Keep away from light and moisture
  • Don't use when it has discoloration (pink or brown) or it contains particles
